Our Homesteading Adventure:
Building a Self-Sufficient Lifestyle… Together
Welcome to Kowalski Mountain! We’re Philip and Barbra-Sue Kowalski. We own 68 acres in Western Kentucky where we are building an off-grid homestead. After seven years of waiting, we have finally made our full-time homesteading dream a reality! In the fall of 2023, Philip and I retired from our jobs, moving over 700 miles from our home in Florida to the homestead at Kowalski Mountain.
During those years of waiting, we built the infrastructure of the homestead. We cultivated our homesteading skills on our urban homestead. Gathering the supplies and tools needed to make this lifestyle as comfortable and productive as possible.
Join us as we continue to build our off-grid homestead and begin the process of building our log home from the timber harvested on the property.
