Introducing the Homestead Anywhere eBook
As I have endeavored to improve the Kowalski Mountain website, I took a leap of faith and invested in a blogging course earlier this year. While I know I have a long way to go, I have learned so much and have worked so hard to improve our online presence at kowalskimountain.com. One of the greatest perks of taking the course is joining a network of amazing bloggers! Several months ago, I joined a collaboration project amongst a small group of homesteading bloggers. We’ve been working hard to create a special gift for you! I’m pleased to announce the release of the FREE Homestead Anywhere eBook.

This eBook is For You
Homestead Anywhere: A Guide to Learn How to Blossom Wherever You Are Planted eBook was designed with you in mind! It doesn’t matter where you homestead or what stage of homesteading you are in. Maybe you are just curious about homesteading? Perhaps you are building an urban homestead on the property you have? Maybe you are looking for land where you can spread your wings? Possibly you’re already living the homesteading dream. This eBook will help you grow your homesteading adventure. With almost 200 pages, this eBook is an amazing resource for all homesteaders. I had the privilege of writing four of the articles featured in the free eBook that will be shared around the world!
Home Canning Preserving the Harvest
My first article has already been featured on the blog! You may have already read it here. It’s all about home canning. What is canning? What is safe home canning? Who to trust when it comes to canning techniques? Plus it includes photos of our canning adventures. It begins on page 97 of the eBook.
Water Bath Canning: Steps to Success
This article is the second of the series. It’s all about canning with a water bath canner. It includes needed supplies and takes you step by step through the canning process. I just released the complete water bath canning tutorial and video that this article is based on. Be sure to check out the full tutorial on the blog! The article in the eBooks starts on page 106.
Pressure Canning: Steps to Success
This is the third article in the canning series. It is all about using the pressure canner. Pressure canning can be intimidating! I know how scary I thought it was! This article takes you through the entire process from gathering your supplies to ensuring that your jars are correctly sealed and shelf-stable. Check out page 101 in the eBook.
Raising Meat Birds: Home Grown Meat in Small Spaces
My final article is about raising meat birds. Of all the projects we have done on the homestead, I have found raising meat birds to be one of the most rewarding projects. Meat birds are a short-term project that can be done in a small space. No matter if you live in a small community or large farm. The homestead is very close to a commercial chicken farm. I was completely disgusted by the sites and smells of the commercial farm when I got the chance to look inside the barn. I am even more motivated to raise our own chicken. This article takes you through the specifics: what breed of chickens we raised, tips on feeding them, and what to expect when it comes to behavior. The butchering process is briefly covered and is easily managed at home. It starts on page 151 in the eBook.

Meet the Makers
It’s been such a joy to meet these amazing women who are homesteaders from around the world. I must extend my very special thanks to Dee from She Mams with Oils for reaching out to the group and getting this project started. She answered our many questions, corralled our excitement, and then pulled it all together into a finished project. Considering this eBook has almost 200 pages and 16 contributors, it was quite an endeavor!
The eBook features articles written by 16 amazing bloggers! Each and every contribution is beautiful and well written! This is a very talented group of women that I am privileged to work alongside. Some of the topics include encouragement to the homestead dreamer, composting, buying land, raising backyard chickens, starting a garden, recipes and so much more!
Click the links below their photos to learn more about them. Our Meet the Makers Intro is on page 9 of the ebook. Be sure to check it out!
Special Contributors to the eBook
In addition, Courtney from The Wright Family Homestead designed the “Meet the Maker’s” section of the eBook. Beautifully portraying each blogger and verified every link worked properly. Be sure to read about these amazing women and their homesteads. Candice from Simply Candice designed the beautiful cover of our eBook. Kyrie from The Healthfully Rooted Home coordinated the groups for promotional giveaways (watch Instagram for more details). Dierdre from Kindling Wild reached out to Lisa Bass from Farmhouse on Boone to write the forward of our eBook. Lisa is the instructor of the blogging course that allowed us to connect. I’m extremely thankful for each of these lovely ladies and their extra contribution to the project.
Create Your Blog Dream
Lisa Bass from Farmhouse on Boone has created an incredible blogging course. While it was an investment, it has helped me so much to develop our website. Check it out! We were absolutely thrilled when she agreed to write the forward for our eBook and endorse our work! Thank you, Lisa!
Over the next few months, I will be making quite a few updates to the blog! It’s going to be getting a makeover to better reflect what I have learned and prepare us for the growth that we are believing will come to Kowalski Mountain. Thank you so much for being a part of the Kowalski Mountain Family!
