  1. Oooh yum, these look like perfection! I usually make a batch of gingerbread cookies around Christmas, but perhaps I should include gingersnaps in my cookie box that I hand out, these seem waaay easier than gingerbread lol! Thank you for the recipe! 🙂

  2. I LOVE ginger snaps! I’ve tried a few different recipes but I’ll definitely have to add this one to my list of things to try ????

  3. Very good recipe! I’m not very fancy. I put dough in piping bags and freeze. I square the bag off. When it’s time to bake, I remove bag, roll in turbinado cane sugar, slice and bake! Always a hit! Thank you for posting!

  4. Awesome recipe! Family loves it so much!!!

Everyone’s favorite cookie! It’s perfect every single time— except the one time I couldn’t find Grandmas molasses and did exactly what you said NOT to do and got another brand not realizing it was blackstrap????
Thank you on behalf of my family and friends

    1. I love this! Thank you for sharing your experience! Grandma’s molasses is my favorite. I have had success buying molasses from Azure standard, where I can buy it in a gallon jug. It is a stronger flavored molasses than Grandmas but nothing like backstrap molasses. Happy Baking!

I was skeptical about a cookie made with oil, not butter, so I mixed only a half-recipe. They’re delicious! Darn! I wish I had made more. Nicely spiced (I added cloves and next time will also add more powdered ginger) and at 10 minutes in the oven, they’re chewy-soft on the inside, the way I like them. I tried this recipe because I had just read an article about how bad butter is for heart health. I’ll enjoy eating these cookies with a happy heart.

    1. I love hearing this! Thank you so much for returning to leave a review! Next time you know to double the recipe, rather than half…lol Appreciate you sharing.

  8. This was a hit!! I made these as one of my 12 cookies for Christmas. They were nice and chewy which everyone liked. This is staying in my collection. Thankyou for sharing
