Autumn Moments: Time to Create Memories
The best part about fall on the homestead is we focus less on work projects and more on enjoy our time there. That’s not to say, there are no work projects, like all farms, the work never ends. Our visit with Eric Kowalski, Jess Tidwell and Weston was extremely special to have three generations of Kowalski’s on the homestead. This trip was full of very special autumn moments.
Weston got to experience many new things while at Kowalski Mountain.
The Ranger is a great way to explore the property. While we try to stay out of the woods during hunting season, we did give them a full tour of the property.
Weston helped move some firewood . We also pick up down wood to use in our fires as well. He was hard at work doing his part.
Driving the big equipment is every “little” boys dream… Eric enjoyed it too!
Headed to the creek…
I’m such a good GiGi, I let Weston play in the creek even is the cold weather! He had a ball splashing, throwing rocks and getting muddy, regardless of the temperature! These are treasured autumn moments to me, even if he wont remember.
Playing in the leaves is another autumn treat! Roxie was enjoying g herself as well as Weston.
No trip to the homestead can be complete without a campfire, Marshmallows are a must for our young guest! Enjoying them with PaPa, priceless.
One happy PaPa to spend the week with our grandson on Kowalski Mountain.
Generous rainfall had the creek overflowing.
We always take our guests to Jackson’s Orchard. We bought quite a few apples to make applesauce and apple jelly with when we return to Florida.
