When Philip purchased the homestead at Kowalski Mountain in 2016 he was looking for a place he could hunt, work the land, build a home and live a life that he could be proud of. We’ve based our categories on those four topics. Browse a topic by selecting a category in the yellow box.

Building

Building the homestead is no small task! Philip and I have built everything that you see, from the barn, the bathhouse, and even the RV canopy. Since we live in Florida, Kowalski Mountain is built-in Workcations. It’s amazing what we can accomplish when we set our mind to it. This section includes Building Projects and the projects that we work on during our Workcations.

How to Make Maple Syrup the Traditional Way on the Sustainable Homestead

Hunting

Hunting is one of Philip’s favorite past times. He works hard all year long preparing for the season. Planting food plots to create an oasis that the wildlife want to call home. We provide suitable resources to supplement the deer and manage the population. Philip is an accomplished hunter in both archery and rifle, we never worry about going hungry! For us, hunting is a big part of our self-sufficient lifestyle.

Easy Amish Pork Sausage Recipe You Will Love

When it comes to food, our goal is to raise and grow the best, nutrient dense food possible.
